Xopenex:
Creating the Value Equation
for the Medicaid Marketplace

Xopenex was highly restricted by Medicaid with PDLs and prior authorizations were the standard. In order to build physician loyalty, a brochure was created to integrate managed care and brand messaging. It provided critical information on the risks to minority children including hospitalization, morbidity and mortality.

Objectives:

  • Create a thorough understanding of asthma management in Medicaid populations
  • Increase Xopenex ultilization by empowering physicians to use the prior authorization process
  • Customize brochure with state specific prior authorization or step therapy process
